Two area school boards are taking a different approach to finding a new superintendent. The Ripon Area School District has hired a firm to lead the search for its next superintendent. A planning session is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 3, with the hope of hiring a new superintendent by April. Superintendent Mary Whitrock announced she is retiring at the end of June following 12 years at the helm. The Fond du Lac School Board recently interviewed two internal candidates to replace Superintendent Dr. Jeff Fleig who is retiring at the end of the school year.
