The Fond du Lac police chief says it appears the 10 year old daughter of a Fond du Lac man arrested after firing a gun during an argument with his wife helped diffuse the situation. The incident happened Saturday night at an East 9th Street residence. Police Chief Aaron Goldstein says a 42 year old man threatened to kill his wife and then fired one round from a handgun in the basement of the home. Goldstein told WFDL news the couple’s three young children were at home at the time and the 10 year daughter actually took the gun from her dad and gave it to her mother, ending the threat before police officers arrived on the scene. Goldstein says the suspect faces multiple charges in connection with the incident.
