1-3-25 man convicted in crash that injured person inside fdl verizon store

A man who was high on drugs when his car plowed into a Verizon  phone store in Fond du Lac has been convicted.  Benjamin Ayer pleaded no contest to eight counts and was convicted of multiple charges including  intoxicated use of marijuana, reckless endangering safety and operating while intoxicated causing injury. A new survey shows most US teens are abstaining from drinking, smoking and marijuana.  Results from a large annual national survey found that teen drug use hasn't rebounded from its drop during the early years of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says about 67 percent of 12th graders this year said they hadn't used alcohol, marijuana, cigarettes or e-cigarettes in the previous 30 days.  Among 10th graders it […]

JAN. 2, 2025 – Organizations that support Wisconsin entrepreneurs will be able to apply for the latest round of Entrepreneurship Partner Grants (EPG) from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) beginning Jan. 6. A decade after its inception an organization in Fond du Lac that placed nearly 800 rescued dogs and cats in safe and secure homes in 2024 has purchased it first permanent home. Sandi Paws Rescue of Fond du Lac expects to be fully operational at the new location, 288 W. Ninth St., by the end of February 2025.
