SSM Health is welcoming Jodi Dietzel as its new administrator of the Fond du Lac Market. In her new role, Dietzel will oversee operations, ensure quality service delivery, and support the growth and development of health care initiatives in the Fond du Lac Market working directly with the SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic and SSM Health. She will work closely with Jamie Deering, MD, who serves as the new SSM Health Wisconsin Region Primary Care medical director. “Jodi brings extensive leadership experience and a deep commitment to fostering excellence in health care and community collaboration,” according to Shane Smith, SSM Health Fond du Lac Market president. “We look forward to her leadership and contributions as we continue to serve the community with innovation and compassion.” Dietzel previously served with the SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic for nearly 27 years, starting in mid-1995 as a registered nurse transitioning to clinic supervisor in 2006 and then to director-Administrator of Clinic Services from 2007 – 2022. She comes back to SSM Health after serving two years as the director of Clinical Operations for Community Physicians with Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dietzel was responsible for nine primary care clinics, five urgent care locations, six walk-in clinics, and post-acute department. “During Jodi’s tenure with us, she has been a proven servant leader to support or teams in providing exceptional care,” Smith shares. “Her quiet wisdom and continual support and encouragement embody who she is not only as a leader, but as a fellow human being. She embodies what every leader should strive for – be the best for each and every employee, and a strong advocate for our patients and their families.” Dietzel holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. Her work with health care was motivated by her mother. “My mother was a medical assistant/supervisor in a clinic for 50 years,” Dietzel shares. “Watching her and her compassion to help care for people very much influenced me to go into health care and do the same.” Being back in faith-based health care, as well as the SSM Health Mission, means a lot to Dietzel. “I am looking forward to leading and supporting this clinic, SSM Health, and the wonderful staff and providers that are here. “The SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic and SSM Health as a whole is such a wonderful organization to be a part of,” Dietzel adds. “I love working here mostly because our teams truly live through their mission, values, and vision. The care teams provide peace, hope, and quality health care to every person/family member and to the community, especially those most in need.
