Fond du Lac County Emergency Management is urging everyone to take steps to understand the risks that flooding can bring. Governor Tony Evers has declared this week as Flood Safety Awareness Week in Wisconsin. Fond du Lac County Emergency Management director John Ross says be prepared and stay informed. Ross says it’s important to be aware of flooding risks and take steps to protect yourself and your property. Keep water out of and away from your house. Move valuables out of the basement. Never drive or walk through flooded areas, and consider flood insurance.
