A Waupun man is accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl he was allegedly engaged to. Waupun Police Chief Jeremy Rasch says the 33 year old man was arrested after an investigation into a reported sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl. Rasch told WFDL news it appears the two met at a party around New Year’s eve, and says investigators believe the two were planning on leaving Wisconsin for the state of Texas. Rasch says its also concerning that the child’s parents apparently knew their daughter had contact with the man but did not notify authorities. The man faces two counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault of a Child and one count of Child Enticement. He is being held on $100,000 cash bond.
