3-6-25 brewers planning to honor bob uecker on opening day

The Milwaukee Brewers are planning on honoring Bob Uecker at their home opener.   Brewers Chief Operating Officer Marti Wronski says the first game of the season, on Monday March 31st, will include several rememberances of the Brewers’ longtime play-by-play announcer.  Wronski says in addition to Ueck’s signature across the outfield grass and a moment of silence, the players will debut the Uecker jersey patch.  Uecker died in January at the age of 90.  A statement from the team said Ueck was the light of the Brewers, soul of Wisconsin and a dear friend.  A larger, public Celebration of Life for Bob Uecker will be held in August.
