3-19-25 dodge county sheriff’s office and love, logan foundation launch public awareness campaign on dangers of fentanyl and counterfeit pills

The Dodge County Sheriffs Office has announced a collaborative public awareness campaign with the Love, Logan Foundation to educate the community about the dangers of fentanyl and counterfeit pills. Vehicle graphics featuring a One Pill Can Kill message can be seen on the Dodge County Sheriffs Office vehicle driven by Lomira School District School Resource Officer Jay Thielmann. The intent of these eye-catching graphics is to be seen throughout the community, helping to spread this critical message. We would like to thank Westphal Printing in Brownsville, WI for helping to design and install this graphic.   The Love, Logan Foundation, a nationally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was founded by Erin and Rick Rachwal from Pewaukee, WI, in memory of their son, Logan, who tragically lost his life to fentanyl poisoning on Valentines Day, 2021. The Love, Logan Foundation is dedicated to saving lives through educational and awareness initiatives in schools and the community, especially related to fentanyl and counterfeit pills.
“We are thrilled to partner with the Love, Logan Foundation,” said Sheriff Dale Schmidt. “This collaboration will allow us to reach more people and make a significant impact by raising awareness about the serious risks associated with fentanyl and counterfeit medications.”   Erin Rachwal, Executive Director of the Love, Logan Foundation, added, “Working with the Dodge County Sheriffs Office aligns perfectly with our mission to educate and support the community. The extreme danger posed by fentanyl and counterfeit pills cannot be overstated.   We look forward to making a difference together by raising awareness about this critical issue and saving lives.”    The One Pill Can Kill public awareness campaign was created by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) to highlight the significant surge in counterfeit pills that are killing unsuspecting Americans at an unprecedented rate. The campaign emphasizes that just one pill can be deadly, and it urges the public to only take medications prescribed by a medical professional and
dispensed by a licensed pharmacist. More information on the One Pill Can Kill public awareness campaign can be found on the DEA website.
