3-24-25 fdl arson fire suspect bound over for trial

A Menasha man accused of setting a fire to his girlfriend’s Fond du Lac home that injured a teenage girl has been bound over for trial. Probable cause was found at a preliminary hearing for 61 year old Michael Perez. He is accused of setting the fire at the Packer Street residence last September by setting a gasoline can on fire not knowing a 16 year old girl was sleeping upstairs. The girl suffered multiple severe injuries after jumping approximately 20 feet from a second floor window. Perez is being held in jail on $750,000 cash bond.
