The American Red Cross in Wisconsin is asking residents to step up and help protect the blood supply by donating this fall. Red Cross spokesperson Laura McGuire says people of all blood types are needed, especially platelet donors and those with type O blood. McGuire says it’s important to donate now to help keep the blood supply from dropping ahead of the holidays. People who donate between November 1 and November 22 will receive a $10 e-gift card by email to a merchant of their choice.
