MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Republicans are joining a national push to outlaw child sex dolls and robots. State Rep. Joy Goeben and Sen. Jesse James have released a bill that would make owning such a doll or robot a felony punishable by up to 3 1/2 years in prison. Penalties would increase if the offender possesses three or more dolls, is a repeat offender or the doll is intended to resemble a specific minor. Republicans across the country have been pushing to outlaw such dolls for years. Florida and Tennessee passed laws prohibiting child sex dolls in 2019. Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs signed a law outlawing them on Friday. A bill outlawing them nationwide has been floating around the U.S. House of Representatives.
