The Fond du Lac County Board has approved an agreement to have the village of Brandon-Fairwater contract out police services with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt says the village board president reached out to his office after the village police chief announced that he would be retiring this month. Waldschmidt says its a trend that is being seen across the state. Waldschmidt says a sheriff’s deputy will be assigned to work 20 hours a week in the village of Brandon.
