The Department of Public Works would like to inform the motoring public of traffic lane closures on East Johnson Street between National Avenue and Prairie Avenue.
Phase One – Starting Wednesday, August 9 by 06:00 am the westbound
lanes (north lanes) on Johnson Street will be closed and remain closed until Wednesday, August 16.
Phase Two – Starting Wednesday, August 16 by 06:00 am the eastbound lanes (south lanes) on Johnson Street will be closed and remain closed until Wednesday, August 23.
The closure will be in place to allow a private contractor to complete utility excavation and restoration at Moraine Park Technical College. A signed detour will be south on Prairie Road, to Division Street west to National Avenue north to Johnson Street. Westbound traffic on Johnson Street (STH 23) is encouraged to take US 151 to I-41 to bypass the City if accessing to the City is not required.
