The city of Fond du Lac has unveiled a new music garden at a near downtown park. The new education and recreation space is located at Hamilton Park and is the result of a girl scout project by Natalie Johnson in partnership with the city and Boys and Girls Club of Fond du Lac. Johnson, is a Fond du Lac High School graduate and freshman at the University of Nebraska studying elementary and early education and says the music garden is designed to introduce music to more children in the community and to support the Boys and Girls Club where she worked as a teacher’s aide. Fond du Lac Parks director John Redmond says it’s a great addition for the park. Initial instruments for the music garden were donated by BCI Burke Company, and the City also purchased additional instruments to create the largest outdoor music garden in the area.
