The Fond du Lac School District is excited to host the 2024 City-Wide Spelling Bee, a highly anticipated event showcasing students’ exceptional spelling abilities from schools in the Fond du Lac community. The competition is open to all schools, regardless of their affiliation with the Fond du Lac School District.
Date: Thursday, February 8, 2024
Time: 7pm
Location: Theisen Middle School Auditorium
Open to all schools, the competition will bring together representatives selected from individual school spelling bees. Qualified student participants are required to arrive by 6:30p for a comprehensive review of rules and position drawing. Spelling bee coordinators/principals are urged to share event details with their champions. Winners’ names (first place from each school) should be emailed to organizers by Saturday, February 3, 2024. Schools are requested to identify an “alternate” in case the winner is unable to attend. “We are proud to host the City-Wide Spelling Bee, celebrating academic excellence and fostering a sense of community and friendly competition among our young spellers,” remarked Brad Nerat, Theisen Principal. The Fond du Lac School District wishes all participants, schools, and families the best and looks forward to an evening filled with impressive spelling feats and a celebration of linguistic accomplishments.
