4-3-24 small business optimism index

Optimism on main street declines as inflation looms as a top challenge.  That according to the latest National Federation of Independent Business Small Business Optimism Index.  The Index decreased in February to 89.4, marking the 26th consecutive month below the 50 year average of 98.  NFIB state director in Wisconsin Bill Smith told WFDL news 23 percent of small business owners reported that inflation was their single most import business problem in operating their business, up three points from last month and replacing labor quality as the top problem.  Smith says his organizations is disappointed the governor recently vetoed the Republican tax cut proposal.
