The Fond du Lac Area United Way is teaming up with the Fond du Lac Public Library to empower kids and encouraging families to get outdoors and visit parks. Fond du Lac Area United Way executive director Amber Kilawee says locally families participated Saturday in activities at Fond du Lac’s Lakeside Park, Columbus Park in Campbellsport, Village Park in North Fond du Lac, Ripon Public Library Park and Brandon Community Park. Kilawee says the event featured a scavenger hunt, and games. She says it’s an effort to broaden children’s appreciation for nature and the outdoors.
