A Fond du Lac woman is in custody following a high speed chase in the city of Fond du Lac. The chase started shortly after 11:30pm Monday in the area of N. Main Street and E. Rees Street. The vehicle drove through a construction zone and three intersections failing to stop for traffic signals, reaching speeds of 65 miles an hour before the pursuit was terminated. A Sheriff’s deputy spotted the vehicle near Martin Avenue and East 9th Street and another chase ensued, ending when the vehicle stopped near East Division Street and South National Avenue. A 45-year-old Fond du Lac woman was taken into custody at gunpoint. She faces multiple charges including two counts Fleeing from an Officer, and Throwing or discharging bodily fluids at public safety workers. Additional charges include operating while intoxicated 1st offense, failure to stop at a stop sign, operating after suspension, and imprudent speed.
