6-22-24 subcommittee chaired by congressman grothman holds hearing on osprey helicopter crashes

The chairman of the national security subcommittee of the House Oversight Committee says he believes the Pentagon is hiding something when it comes to crashes involving the military’s Osprey’s aircraft.  Wisconsin congressman Glenn Grothman chaired a hearing of the subcommittee last week.  Pentagon officials are refusing to release the safety reports saying at the hearing they are able to learn more in their investigation if they can promise confidentiality to those who speak to the safety boards.   The subcommittee launched its inquiry after 20 service members died in four separate Osprey crashes in less than two years, leaving grief-stricken families demanding answers about why the aircraft had so many accidents.
