One of two individuals arrested for child human trafficking in Fond du Lac County has been bound over for trial. Elia Antonio waived her preliminary hearing Friday on charges of Child Trafficking and Failure to Protect a Child. A hearing date will be rescheduled to give Juan Carlos Rocha Mejia time to find an attorney. Mejia is charged with First Degree Child Sexual Assault, False Imprisonment, Child Enticement and Strangulation Suffocation. Both are being held in jail on $1 million cash. Mejia is accused of paying Antonio money to spend time alone with her daughter. The undocumented Nicaraguan man was arrested after a 12 year old girl showed up at the doorstep of a town of Oakfield residence telling the homeowner she had escaped from a vehicle where a man had bound and blindfolded her and attempted to assault her. The victim and her siblings have been placed in protective custody.
