10-10-24 fdl hosts statewide k9 conference

Fond du Lac is hosting the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Canine Handler Association annual conference this week.  Fond du Lac Police Chief Aaron Goldstein says 230 K9 teams from throughout Wisconsin are in Fond du Lac for the conference.  “We have learned more and more with our K9s in areas like searching, tracking, protection work,”  Goldstein told WFDL news.  “The reality is today, if you follow our social media, drug detection work,  and keeping that evil stuff out of our city.”   The Fond du Lac Police Department’s first K9 Ziko started in 1995, and today the Police Department has four K9s and the Sheriff’s Office has five.  The conference started Sunday and continues through Wednesday.
