The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a Boater Safety Course to be held at the Emergency Government Center – 160 S. Macy Street, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Entrance will be from the east doors of the City/County Government Center.
Boater education certification is required by law for anyone born on or after 01/01/89 and 16 years old or older before they may operate a motorboat.
The course will be held on the following dates:
Tuesday, May 19, 2015 6:00 – 8:30 pm
Thursday, May 21, 2015 6:00 – 8:30 pm
Tuesday, May 26, 2015 6:00 – 8:30 pm
Thursday, May 28, 2015 6:00 – 8:30 pm
Students must attend all four (4) night. Parents are encouraged to attend all of the classes and at a minimum must attend the first night for approximately 15 minutes to register with student. All boater safety students will now be required to obtain a WI DNR Customer ID Number as part of the criteria to graduate from any Recreational Safety class and provide that WI DNR Customer ID Number to their instructor. Students should obtain a DNR customer ID Number by calling 1-888-936-7463 between the hours of 7AM – 10 PM. When calling you will need to provide the following information:
Full name of student
- Date of Birth
- Height
- Weight
- Hair Color
- Eye Color
- Social Security Number (optional)
Please obtain your WI DNR Customer ID# prior to the course dates and bring this ID # with you on the first night of class on May 19, 2015.
