A Fond du Lac County man was seriously injured in a fireworks accident. Shortly before 5:30pm Monday rescue personnel were called to a residence on White Pine Road in the town of Friendship for a report of a man with a significant hand injury due to fireworks. Investigators learned the 41 year old man was injured trying to disable fireworks with a power tool when sparks ignited the powder causing the fireworks to explode in his hand. He also received injuries to his chest and face and was flown by helicopter to Theda Care Regional Medical Center in Neenah.
