The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says two teens accused of planning a school shooting in Campbellsport had a list of possible targets. The two 9th grade boys were arrested Tuesday and placed in secure detention awaiting a future court hearing on criminal charges. Sheriff’s captain Chris Randall says the boys had made what he described as significant threats. “My understanding is, yes, some names were specifically mentioned,” Randall told WFDL news. “The investigation is ongoing. There is forensic evidence we’re are going to try to examine and make sure we get that evaluated.” Randall says this is absolutely unacceptable behavior that the Sheriff’s Office takes “very seriously.” The Campbellsport School District administrator Tom Wissink declined to comment on the case. Wissink says he would defer to the Sheriff’s Office. He says the District works with them daily and appreciates “all they are doing to protect protect and keep our schools, students and staff safe.”
