Art created by students at Fond du Lac’s elementary schools will be the feature of the March Langdon Divers Community Gallery exhibit at the Fond du Lac Public Library. The pieces were created in honor of Youth Art Month. Elementary art teachers from the Fond du Lac School District have chosen more than 200 pieces of student artwork to display in collaboration with the Fond du Lac Public Library at two locations:
The Allen J. Buechel Branch, located near Festival Foods on Fond du Lac’s east side: Feb. 22 to April 7,
The Langdon Divers Gallery (located at the main branch of the Fond du Lac Public Library) will have work on display from March 5 to April 1.
“Each year, the Fond du Lac School District celebrates Youth Art Month in collaboration with our Fond du Lac library partners,” said Amy Kunstman, the Fond du Lac School District Fine Arts coordinator. “The creativity and artistry our students display for the community is shared with excitement and pride, thanks to the dedicated Art Educators we have working with students at every grade level.” A public reception at the Langdon Divers Gallery will be held Thursday, March 20 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The Langdon Divers Community Gallery is open seven days a week, whenever the Fond du Lac Public Library is open at 32 Sheboygan St. The gallery may be found off the atrium at the south
entrance to the Main Library.
