3-5-25 thea bender crowned miss oshkosh 2025

OSHKOSH – University of Wisconsin Oshkosh student, Thea Bender, was crowned Miss Oshkosh 2025.  Bender received a $2,000 scholarship along with the title during Saturday’s 2025 Miss Oshkosh Scholarship Competition at Alberta Kimball Auditorium. The competition awarded $8,350 in scholarships, thanks in large part to its many sponsors and supporters, including the Oshkosh Area Women’s Association.  Bender competed against five other women for the title. She is a UW Oshkosh Honor College
student, majoring in economics and serves as the vice president of UWO’s Cheer and Stunt team.  Bender’s talent was a gymnastic and acro routine and her community service initiative is Future Financing: Encouraging Youth to Save.  Miss Oshkosh’s Teen 2025 is Izzi Mugerauer. She competed alongside six other young ladies vying for the title. Mugerauer performed of “Mind the Gap” on piano.   Mugerauer’s community service initiative is Fostering Hope: Advocating for Foster Families.  Both young women will compete at the Miss Wisconsin Scholarship Competition for the titles of Miss Wisconsin and Miss Wisconsin’s Teen, June 17 to 21 in New Berlin, Wisc.  Miss Oshkosh and Miss Oshkosh’s Teen are available for appearances such as community and charity events, parades and fairs, emcee and speaking engagements, school programs, fashion shows, and sporting and holiday events.
