Construction work is is underway this week on Interstate 41 in Fond du Lac and Winnebago counties but most of the work is being done at night. Lane closures throughout the 14-mile stretch between Military Ave. in Fond du Lac County to Hwy 26 in Winnebago County will happen at night, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. during the week. On Fridays the nighttime work will start at 7 p.m. and run through 9 a.m. on Saturday morning. The DOT says drivers should be prepared for lane closures and traffic shifts at night. Motorists are asked to pay attention to message boards on the of the road…and to be aware of some lane shifts and construction at bridges and culverts.
