The Waupun Fire Chief says a person riding an ATV is responsible for causing a gas leak that forced the evacuation of several buildings in the city Friday night. Fire Chief BJ DeMaa told WFDL news surveillance video shows an ATV striking a gas meter, shearing the meter and gas line off at ground level. DeMaa says from the surveillance video it appears the meter appears to have been struck accidentally. But DeMaa says the question is why the operator left the scene without reporting it? Waupun police are continuing their investigation.
