Dodge County Sheriff’s Sgt Joe Nicholas and K9 partner Paige have made their first drug bust on the road together. On May 31st Sgt Nicholas conducted a traffic stop in the Town of Lomira that resulted in an arrest for possession with intent to deliver Ecstasy. Sgt Nicholas also located over 10.5oz of Marijuana that was mostly in the form of a large brick of “Marijuana butter” along with over $500.00 of alleged drug money. A switchblade knife and other various pieces of drug paraphernalia were hidden in the vehicle. Sheriff Dale Schmidt says Sgt. Nicholas and K9 Paige “represent the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office’s effort to reduce the transport of dangerous drugs on Dodge County roadways. The type of drugs that were seized today is particularly dangerous to people who use them due to the potency of the substances,” Schmidt said.
