U.S. Senator Ron Johnson has introduced a bill to name the Fond du lac Post Office after World War Two hero and Fond du lac native James Megellas. Colonel Megellas served with the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division during the war and to date is the most decorated officer in the history of the 82nd Airbone Division. Senator Johnson says “it is a privilege to recognize a Fond du lac native who is truly one of the finest among us.” Co-sponsors of the legislation include Democratic U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin and Republican U.S. Senator John Cornyn of Texas.
