A public information meeting will be held next week on proposed improvements to Highway 45 south of Fond du Lac. The meeting will be held from 5-7pm Wednesday at the Eden Village Hall. The DOT says the project includes reconstruction of 6.3 miles of U.S. 45 in the village of Eden from Elm Street to the north village limits; resurfacing 45 from the north village of Eden limits to County V ; relocation of the County H intersection; and rehabilitation of DeNeveu Creek Bridge; and culvert replacements. The project also includes a number of safety improvements including beam guard upgrades and centerline rumble strips. The DOT says there will be traffic impacts during construction which is scheduled for 2018. Property acquisition and temporary easements will be needed.
