A Republican state senator from Fond du Lac says a new, major contract with Oshkosh Defense is great news for the company, employees and Fox Valley in general. State senator Rick Gudex says the nearly $7 billion contract announced this week is expected to support thousands of jobs. “Its incredible, its astounding, but I can tell you that I’m not really surprised. Oshkosh Corporation has had a long legacy of providing top quality vehicles to the military to protect our men and women,” Gudex told WFDL news. The Joint Light Tactical Vehicle contract would replace about 55,000 Humvees by 2040.
