The Fond du lac city council president says she doesn’t anticipate the council making any changes in a proposed city budget. The council discussed the budget at a workshop session earlier this month. The budget includes a 2.5 percent increase in the tax rate with a 4.6 percent levy increase. “We know about the major projects, operating costs are flat,” council president Lee Ann Lorrigan told WFDL news. Meanwhile Lorrigan says the council will meet this fall to discuss what to do with a vacant seat when councilmember Brian Foster steps down. Foster is resigning his council seat because he will be moving out of the city. He was appointed to the council last year and the seat is up for election in April.
