The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has been awarded two state Department of Transportation grants to improve traffic safety. a $13,000 grant will provide additional deputies for traffic enforcement on Highway 23 east to the Sheboygan County line. In the first 9 months of 2015 on this stretch of Highway in Fond du Lac County there have been over twenty crashes, two people killed, more than a nineteen injured. A $68,000 grant will provide additional officers to concentrate on arresting drunken drivers.
