The ex-girlfriend of a Fond du lac man convicted of burning down his bowling alley is being released from probation. At a hearing this week Fond du lac judge Peter Grimm ordered a civil judgement for Linda Stiller-Devoe. Her probation will end November first. Her probation agent told the court he has no worries of any future criminal behavior and says Stiller-Devoe has made efforts to pay restitution. Stiller-Devoe was originally placed on probation for two years and ordered to pay $36,000 in restitution after pleading no contest to criminal damage to property. She still owes $34,000. Stiller-Devoe told the court she will continue to pay what she owes and wants to move on with her life. A charge of party to the crime of arson was deferred in exchange for her cooperation with the prosecution in the case of Lyle Huss. Huss was sentenced to seven years in prison for setting fire to the Last Stop Bar and Lanes on West Division Street to collect insurance money.
