A Lodi man was seriously injured in a snowmobile crash on Fox Lake over the weekend. Thirty one year old Cory Chase was flown by Flight for Life helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison with what were described as serious injuries. The crash happened shortly before 7:30 am Sunday near the Blackhawk Trail Boat Landing. According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Chase lost control when he attempted a turn, causing the snowmobile to roll over. Chase was ejected from the snowmobile and was not wearing a helmet. Alcohol was not a factor in this crash. Assisting at the scene were Fox Lake Fire Department, Fox Lake EMS, Beaver Dam Paramedics, Flight for Life, and WI DNR. The crash is being investigated by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the WI DNR.
