The Fond du Lac County Board is expected to approve an appointment to fill a vacancy on the board at their meeting Tuesday night. The county committee on committees is recommending the board appoint town of Taycheeda resident John Rickert to fill the seat vacated when Brenda Schneider was elected county treasurer. Committee member and county board chairman Marty Farrell says all of the applicants were impressive. Farrell says Rickert stands out in part because of his municipal government experience.
