While the governor has issued a state of emergency with heightened wildfire conditions, the situation does not appear to be as bad in this part of the state.  The DNR says the fire danger is high in far northwestern and northern Wisconsin.  Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue Division Chief of Fire Prevention Troy Haase says conditions are better in this part of the state.  But Haase says there is still a potential danger if people aren’t careful.  Meanwhile, strong thunderstorms moving through the area knocked down some power lines in the Oakfield area Monday afternoon, resulting in some power outages.
