The Fond du lac city council has approved a resolution to enter into a development agreement with Mid-States Aluminum for expansion of their manufacturing facility on Trowbridge Drive. Community Development director Dyann Benson says the first phase of the expansion project would include an approximately 37,000 sq. ft. building addition for a new extrusion press line. Phase II would include an approximate 98,000 sq. ft. addition for a new Anodizing line. The agreement includes creation of a Tax Incremental District. Midstates would receive $325,000 for the first phase and $250,000 for phase two. Midstates says the expansion projects would enable the company to remain competitive. The expansion projects would create an additional 36 jobs over the next four years.
