A major street reconstruction project starts next week in Fond du lac. City engineer Paul DeVries says work will begin Monday on a three block stretch of Fond du Lac Avenue from Sixth Street to Ninth Street. During construction traffic will be rerouted but access will be maintained to Fond du Lac Avenue businesses and residences between Sixth and Ninth Streets. DeVries says it’s the first phase in a series of projects over the next few years. The first phase is expected to be completed by the end of May followed by work from Ninth Street to National Avenue.
