10-29-21 fdl county clerk not surprised at audit bureau election report

The Fond du Lac County Clerk says she’s not surprised a Legislative Audit Bureau report did not identify any widespread election fraud in Wisconsin.  Lisa Freiberg says she also agrees with many of the dozens of recommendations made in the report on how to improve how elections are run.  Freiberg says the report confirmed that the election machines were accurate.  The co-chair of the Legislature’s Audit Committee, Republican state senator Robert Cowles, says he hopes the report leads to bipartisan fixes for the issues the audit identified, but that the state’s elections, overall, are safe and secure. Freiberg says the report shows the outcome of the presidential race cannot be overturned.
