A Marinette County judge has signed an order to stay the placement of an out of county violent child sex offender in Fond du Lac County. Fond du lac County Corporation Counsel Meggin McNamara says a hearing date will be scheduled on Fond du Lac County’s motion to rescind the judge’s original order to place Jeffrey Butler at the town of Eldorado residence. McNamaara says she is pleased the judge has agreed to hear the case. McNamara says the judge’s original order did not follow state law. Butler was convicted of sexually assauiting a child in Marinette County.
