9-3-19 fdl firefighters respond to garage fire, gas leak

Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a detatched garage in Fond du Lac.   Shortly after 8pm Monday firefighters were called to 27 North Lincoln Avenue  for a report of a shed on fire.  According to the police log the property was vacant and a man who had been living in or around the garage for the past couple of years likely started the fire accidentally with a cigarette or cigar.   Meanwhile, fire crews were also called to a report of a gas leak near Sallie Avenue Monday night.  Some residents in the area had to be evacuated until the leak was repaired.
