3-8-19 oakfield school referendum

The Oakfield School superintendent says he is optimistic that residents will support the school district when they go to the polls next month.  Voters are being asked to decide a five year, $5.3 million operations referendum.  Superintendent Dr. Vance Dalzin says the referendum is necessary to preserve the district’s financial stability and to allow the district to continue operating.  “Our current operational referendum ends at the end of next year so we’re going to the polls for another five year referendum .  This will be less money than the one that expires on June 30 2020,”  Dalzin told WFDL news.  The district has posted an information page on its website and is holding information meetings leading up to the April 2 election.  Dalzin says so far public response has been positive.
