Planning is underway for next year’s Fond du Lac County Highway Department budget. Highway commissioner Tom Janke says one of the big projects will be the roundabout at Highway 45 and Rienzi Road. Other projects planned for next year include Highway F between Highways 175 and 45, Highway V from the south county line to Highway 67, Rienzi Road, and Highway N from Highway C to Interstate 41. The Highway committee also reviewed the five year capital improvement program. Janke says some of the larger projects in the five year plan include Highway D in the Village of Oakfield in 2021, a Kinker Road railroad overpass, and ongoing work on Pioneer Road.
