The investigation continues into a fire that destroyed several storage units at a storage complex in the town of Friendship this week. The fire Monday night at Barber Enterprises Storage Units destroyed five units and their contents valued at an estimated $100,000. Fond du Lac County Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt says the cause of the fire is not believed to be suspicious. “We believe we know which one (storage unit) it started in and have some idea what the likely cause was,” Waldschmidt told WFDL news. “But at this time because we’re not 100 percent certain and we’re still tracking people down and talking to different owners, we’re waiting on confirmation on what we believe started it.” Nobody was injured in the fire.
