The Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer says she expects to see more positive COVID-19 cases in the county with increased testing. The Health Department announced last week that Agnesian HealthCare was expanding testing to patients experiencing minor COVID-19 symptoms to help understand how the virus is circulating in the community. Mueller says the increased testing serves an important public health purpose of the state’s response to the virus, which will require aggressive efforts for finding and isolating cases in the community. Mueller says she believes there are several hundred Fond du Lac County residents who are or have had COVID-19, but have not been tested. There are 70 COVID-19 cases in the county.
