Fond du Lac County has topped 100 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says 21 new cases were confirmed over the weekend bringing the total number of positive COVID-19 cases in Fond du Lac County to 108. Mueller says it’s the biggest jump in cases since the outbreak began. Mueller says at least six of the cases stem from a party where people gathered in violation of the Safer at Home order limiting gatherings to no more than six people. Mueller says physical distancing is key and positive cases will increase when people disobey that. Mueller says the other frustrating part is that people who were at that party have not been cooperating with Public Health officials who are trying to contact trace to prevent further spread of the virus. Mueller says many of the other cases are residents who are being tested at essential businesses outside the county. In Fond du Lac County 69 people have recovered from the virus.
