- Main Street from Merrill Ave. to Johnson Street and Merrill Ave. from Portland to Macy Street
Schedule: March 2020 through July 2020
Description: The project includes reconstruction of the storm force main, sanitary laterals, water main and laterals, storm sewer, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, restoration/landscaping, signals and lighting.
July 27 to July 31: The majority of the project items are complete. The pavement marking contractor will begin the pavement marking along N. Main St. and Merrill Ave. This work is scheduled to be completed by mid-week. Crews will continue with the final cleanup work in preparation for opening the project by weeks end.
Traffic Impacts: N. Main Street and Merrill Avenue remains closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs. It’s illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades if not accessing businesses. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours. W. Rees Street from N. Main Street to S. Macy Street and Fond du Lac Police Department (PD) Parking Lot
Schedule: July 2020 through August 2020
Description: The project includes roadway reconstruction, excavation, grading, sidewalk and approaches, restoration/landscaping and lighting. The Police Department parking lot reconstruction will replace asphalt pavement, deteriorated sidewalk and curbing along with moving the flagpoles and adding parking stalls.
July 27 to July 31: Crews will begin saw cuts and removals in the Police Department parking lot and start removals and grading along W. Rees Street.
Traffic Impacts: W. Rees Street and the Police Department parking lot will be closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs. Access to the Police Department parking lot will be closed, but the Emergency After-Hours Entrance on the northwest corner of the Police Department Parking Lot will remain open. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades if not accessing businesses. Parking is not permitted in the PD parking lot or on the street within the construction zone during working hours.
- Military Road from Oak Park Avenue to S. Hickory Street

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, and restoration/landscaping.
July 27 to July 31: The electrical contractor will be boring the underground electrical conduit in the beginning of the week. The concrete contractor will begin setting string lines and fine grading the northwest lane between Hickory Street and Arlington Avenue and may possibly being placement of concrete later in the week. The string setter will then set string line for the southeast Lane from Oak Park to Arlington.
Traffic Impacts: S. Military Road remains closed to through traffic from S. Hickory Street to Seymour Street. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties and businesses past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours. Motorists are asked to please use caution when driving through this construction area.
11 th Street from Park Ave to Martin Avenue
Schedule: May 2020 through October 2020
Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, and restoration/landscaping.
July 27 to July 31: The utility contractor will have one crew replacing the storm sewer main from the intersection of 11 th Street and Vine Street south to the school parking lot. They will also have a second crew replacing water and sanitary sewer laterals throughout the week.
Traffic Impacts: 11 th Street is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.
Hazotte Court from Division Street North to Dead End
Schedule: May 2020 through October 2020
Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, and restoration/landscaping.
July 27 to July 31: Alliant Energy completed gas main and service construction.
Traffic Impacts: Hazotte Court remains open to traffic.
Follett Street from Doty Street to Military Road
Schedule: May 2020 through October 2020
Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, and restoration/landscaping.
July 27 to July 31: The excavation contractor will begin removing pavement, driveway approaches, and sidewalk sections and start grading and placing stone base from Military Road to Doty Street.
Traffic Impacts: Follett Street is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.
County Road V/Fond du Lac Avenue/National Avenue
Schedule: March 2020 through October 2020
Description of work: The project includes reconstruction of the water main and services and partnership with Fond du Lac County for new storm sewer, street, pedestrian trail, and lighting.
July 27 to July 31: Fond du Lac County Highway Dept. continues storm sewer construction on the project.
Traffic impacts: The intersections of County Road V/Fond du Lac Avenue/National Avenue remain closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs.
