The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in tracking down the driver of a car involved in a high speed chase over the Labor Day holiday weekend. It happened Saturday evening when a sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a car on Rolling Meadows Drive and Rogersville Road when the deputy noticed the license plates did not match the vehicle. The chase covered 22 miles on Highway 23, town and county roads, through Lamartine, south on Highway Y through Oakfield, Mill Pond Road and was terminated when it entered Dodge County. Two attempts to stop the vehicle with tire deflation devices were unsuccessful. The suspect vehicle is described as a late 1990s or early 2000s red-colored Mitsubishi Galant. The Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance in identifying the driver of the vehicle. Anyone with information on who may have been the driver is asked to call the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office at 920-929-3390 or a tip can be left on the Fond du Lac County Law Enforcement Tip Line at 920-906-4777.
